For anyone keeping track of these things, the snow they keep warning us about (last I heard, the advisory was from 3pm today until something like 5am tomorrow morning) has started in earnest at about 1:30pm, here in Downtown Bend.

I was hoping it would wait until the kids got off the bus, so that I didn’t have to go to the snow route stop.
It started around 12:30 here. We were just supposed to get rain. *snort*
this just came across my rss feed:
Heavy Snow Warning In Effect From 3 Pm This Afternoon To 4 Am Pst Wednesday Above 4000 Feet
Isn’t Bend at 3500 ft?
It’s a little lower, I think, more like 3000-3100. YMMV, of course–Awbrey Butte for instance is a bit higher 🙂
Bend’s elevation is 3600 feet
huh ..YMMV?
OMG, you don’t know Your Mileage May Vary? Shannon!!!;-)
"Bend’s elevation is 3600 feet"
I stand corrected, then. 🙂
Barney nailed the YMMV acronym. Though now I have this (mean?) urge to start throwing out all the various internet-spawned acronyms, just to see…
BTW, LOL, LMAO (those are easy)
BRB, AFK, BBIAB, BBL
AFAIK, IANAL
Ever-popular IMO, IMHO
OTOH, IIRC
RTFM, right up there with WTF 🙂
ASL (or A/S/L)
…I’ll stop.
When I got to work yesterday, it was bare, but by the time I left at 5, we had 10 inches of snow. Oh what fun… (took me over an hour to get home).
Hmm, learn something new everyday, apparently.
I don’t know what these mean:
AFK, BBIAB
AFAIK, IANAL
OTOH, IIRC
ASL (or A/S/L)
Okay…
AFK = Away From Keyboard
BBIAB = Be Back In A Bit
AFAIK = As Far As I Know
IANAL = I Am Not A Lawyer
OTOH = On The Other Hand
IIRC = If I Remember Correctly
ASL = Age/Sex/Location (chat room trawling)
I will make a cheap sheet and IM you, Jon.
