Bend Bulletin RSS feed

Quick public service announcement: I’ve hacked together an RSS feed for the Bend Bulletin. It’s a first-pass, I’m scraping their Local, Business and Sports pages and building a summary feed only. If I have time, I may go one step further and pull each article on those pages, and provide a full-text feed.

Either way, here’s the RSS feed link [ed. note: no longer valid]. Enjoy!

BTW: I would recommend againt parsing their full articles — that just cries for legal troubles.

And I’d rather read the Bulletin’s news aggregated on one page that automatically updates rather than browse to their site for at least 4 wasted page hits.

Hey there…I am just digging into the RSS stuff and I am looking for some help. I am part of a sports website and we like to post news headlines the are relevant to our site everyday. Is there a way to scan a group of newspapers for articles that contain keywords so that each morning I can simply access those articles without going to each newspapers website? Drop me an email if you have suggestions on a way I can do this.
